Dear Friends,
On behalf of The Drew O’Donoghue Fund Board of Trustees, I want to thank you for the incredible success of our 2nd annual golf outing. Thanks to your participation, the event surpassed all of our expectations and raised $60,000! As you know, proceeds from the event will support the ACC Program at the University of Michigan as well as ACC research efforts at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. These programs represent the front lines in the fight against ACC. The tireless effort of these researchers, with our collective support, is the engine behind continued progress toward finding effective treatments, and perhaps someday a cure, for ACC.
Notwithstanding my golf game, we had a day filled with a few laughs and some good cheer. We also had an important update from Dr. Hammer on the progress being made in the field of ACC research, as well as a reminder of the importance to remain focused and diligent in our own efforts to continue this fight.
We wish you and your families well as autumn, and with it a new school year, begins, and we thank you for sharing a part of your summer with us. Please keep the fund in mind and remember that just as our logo represents Drew’s passionate struggle and the support he had, we each need to stay engaged as we together build our efforts to tackle ACC.
For those of you unable to attend, we hope you’ll join us for next year’s outing scheduled for July 25, 2016. In the meanwhile, please look out for an announcement for a possible event in NYC later this year.
Thank you again. I hope to see you soon.
With Warm Regards,
Sean O’Donoghue
